This is the same type of vest that has been used by members of our Nation's elite Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) and other keepers of the peace. This vest is a MALE size MEDIUM LONG and includes one all BLACK, two point, Velcro adjustable, heavily reinforced, Nomex flame retardant, outerwear carrier, with Velcro belly support band, Velcro side closures and FIVE, removeable, soft armor panels. All panels are comprised of multiple layers of highly advanced, ultra-lightweight, ultra-high-tenacity Spectra-Shield-Plus sheets and lightweight, high-tenacity Kevlar 129 fabric, stacked and woven together using a specialized multi-hit stitch pattern, for notably thin and flexible, blunt trauma and multi-hit protection. All panels are encased in a sealed, abrasion and liquid resistant Nylon cover, for added protection. When worn properly, these panels will provide extensive Front, Back and Full Side, Shoulder, Neck, Throat and Groin Coverage. The majority of soft armor vests auctioned on eBay DO NOT include Full Side, Shoulder, Neck, Throat and Groin Coverage, though the vest being sold here does, and for 1/4 the vest's BRAND NEW price of $1600.00 plus Shipping. According to the labels affixed the panels, when it was made, the soft armor of this vest was NIJ Standard 0101.03 Level IIIA (3A) Certified and rated to defeat specific projectiles at specific velocities, including the 9 MM FMJ, 124 GR at 1400 FPS and .44 MAG JHP, 240 GR at 1400 FPS, and all lesser ballistic threats. This vest includes one, external, Velcro secured, 10"x12", hard armor upgrade plate pocket in the front portion, for the insertion of a ceramic or polyethylene hard armor plate of your own.
