Description
Thanks for looking at our end of Summer auctions. This ends after labor day and around here, it is becoming Fall This auction is for VINTAGE hardcover book titled ROBERT COLGATE the Immigrant... A GENEALOGY of the New York Colgates and some associated lines Those associated lines are names like Abbe, Selden, Price, Prentice, Mosley, North, Grandy, Boorman, Baker, Strong, Van Eman and so many more. This is the same Colgate family that established Colgate University. Book is copyright 1941 and 464 pages! (Must be one heluva large family). PLUS a pocket at the back totally filled with folded charts - I would assume Family Trees. They don’t look like they have been removed so i left them in place. Please note: THIS IS THE RARE ORIGINAL BOOK AND NOT A REPRINT - and the reprints sell on Abe books from $49.50 to $71.00.... and the photos etc will be clearer in this original than the reprints. Thanks for looking. CONDITION As found and as shown. Some light cover wear otherwise very good! Text is extremely clean with crisp photos of artwork - even silhouettes. The inserts of large charts in the back are also VERY CLEAN, and great shape. SHIPPING INFORMATION MEDIA MAIL. Prompt payment is advised. We ship from zip code 03104 USA. We have had some health problems recently but try to ship by the third or fourth week day at the latest. As usual, a VERY LOW MINIMUM & NEVER A RESERVE! Always a popular feature of our auctions. Read our feedback, we ship fast, pack well and have really good stuff! We also sell in ebay under the seller name of AMOSKEAG100. Always has choice items from a single collection. ASKING QUESTIONS? We answer questions on each site usually twice a week. On auction’s Last Day you have a 50-50 chance we will see it in time. After an auction, never use the generic ebay header it won’t get read. Be specific. ~ We NEVER stop auctions early, period. NO BUY IT NOWS ~ we don’t buy or sell using that feature, not fair to other bidders. Please do not ask...I am not interested and will not respond. We thank you, saves us the 3.5% PayPal fee, BUT PLEASE tell us what you bought, failure to do so may delay shipping 30-60 days. We sell on two sites and don’t have time to figure it out. ABOUT INSURANCE Insurance is always recommended and if you wish it, wait for your invoice. However, it is YOUR option and while we pack very carefully, we will no longer cover any damage, albeit it is quite rare - certainly less than 0.5%, on any uninsured parcel that is damaged or lost. Sorry. Thanks for understanding. If ever in PHILADELPHIA... check out our many antique & collectible consignments and other funky stuff at ORPHELIN, 720 South 5th street. Just a block or two off the popular South Street. SHIPPING SCHEDULE We ship a good 95% of our DOMESTIC auctions lots within three-four weekdays of payment, some get lucky and ship next day. ALL packages are shipped within the week, if you are in the USA, email me if you don’t receive your item in 8-10 days. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS On items where allowed (check above) - some items are deemed too EXPENSIVE or Fragile to ship internationally. US International Postal Rates have gone up. There is a $2.00 surcharge on all international shipments. Must be paid in US Funds. I have no control over time required for international shipments. Thanks for reading. Good luck!
