For LEO agencies, is Level IIIA, is enough?  According to FBI UCR Report from 1998 (www.fbi.gov/ucr/killed/98killed.pdf), from 1989-1998, the 2 most common caliber rounds used, in the feloniously shooting of Sworn Police Officers in the US, was the 9mm and .38 Caliber.  These 2 rounds, are well within the protection levels of NIJ IIIA armor.  For anything beyond that, you'd need a Level III for rifle threats.  We also can make custom made Level III rifle threat, ballistic shields, on a OEM basis, and can set up a private auction for those that need that.  Pics are available......but Level III shields weigh 10kg, or 22lbs.  A monster shield, but well worth the III protection.  Email me for any questions/comments. These shields are made out of 22+ layers of Kevlar 129, of which is then hardened with fiber glass to a hardened state. Condition: NEW Shields are at a light weight of 5.12kg, or 11.28lbs.  Shields are 20" inches wide, and 33" inches tall.  Window measures 4.33" inches tall and 6.69" inches wide.  These are great shields for Law Enforcement Officers, who often times are not adequately supported by their departments and CLEO within their agencies, and are more often than not, need to source out equipment, with their own funds.  These ballistic shields can fit nicely in most standard issue squad cars.  All shields are shipped directly from our manfacture factory.  Agencies interested in multiple orders, email me, and I can set up private eBay auctions for you.
