Description
This auction is for components of an acrylic communion table that can be fashioned into a working communion table by someone with experience working with acrylic.  The table was originally produced by the Morgan Furniture Company, a high quality religious furniture maker in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  These components were left behind when we purchased their warehouse.  The table features an inlayed inscription on the front "This do in remembrance of me" and measures approximately 24"Dx60W"x31"H when assembled and weighs approximately 80 pounds.  The original item was found in a catalog (see scanned image) and sold for over $2,000.  This is not an item that is ready to be used, it requires someone experienced with acrylic to fashion leg brackets, drill screw holes and make other adjustments as desired.  See the picture descriptions below for more information on the condition and work requirements.     INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION:1. 1 table top (in fair condition)2. 2 legs (in good condition)3. a supply of unused acrylic that can be used to fashion (new, not pictured)4. (optional) an additional table top in lesser condition that can be used for material (poor condition, not pictured)PICTURES:1. Picture 1 is the table top sitting on top of the legs.  The leg brackets have cracked clean off the bottom of the table and new brackets will need to be made using the spare acrylic included in this auction.  2. Picture 2 is of another table top (in poor condition, with cracks) that has the necessary leg brackets.  This picture is to illustrate what the leg brackets would normally have looked like.  This table top can be included at no extra cost to use as a guide when making new brackets but would not be suitable for use as it is has cracks and more significant defects than the table top that IS part of this auction.    3.  Picture 3 shows the underside of the table included in this auction.  You can see several marks towards the top of the picture where the leg brackets broke off.  You can also see that there is some damage on the edge of the table where side pieces once were.  4.  Picture 4 is the backside of one of the legs.  The acrylic has become separated from the corner of the leg to where my finger is pointing.  This could be sealed with proper adhesive.   The other leg does NOT have any cracks and is in good condition.  This noted defect was the only defect noticed in the legs.    5. Picture 5 shows the front corner of the table top.  You can see the nice inlayed detail and also where removal of the side has affected the front corner.  6.  Picture 6 is another look at the underside of the table.  You can see where the legs were once attached.  7.  Picture 7 shows one of the legs inserted into the bracket of the table described in Picture 2.  This is used to show how the leg fits into the bracket.  The legs and brackets both have holes pre-drilled, however they do not line up.  This could have been an error that was made during production.  I have indicated where the holes are in each with the colored dots.  The yellow dots are the holes in the leg and the red dots are the holes in the bracket.  In order to attach the legs to the table top you would first need to make brackets from the supply of unused acrylic that is included in this auction.  Then you would need to drill holes in the brackets that would line up with the holes that exist in the legs.  Or you could make new holes in the leg altogether.  8. Picture 8 shows one of the legs.  You can see the holes on each side of the top of the leg.  This is as accurate as a description as I can give but if you still have questions do not hesitate to send me a message.  I would be glad to help.  SHIPPING:Local pick up in Grand Rapids, Michigan is highly recommended.  Shipping via freight is available and would include a $20 handling/packing fee.  Please note, the items will not be loaded onto a pallet until the end of the auction and therefore the total weight and freight code is unknown rendering the shipping calculator inaccurate.   It will be MUCH cheaper if you are willing to pick up this item at the freight terminal of the freight provider.   Savings are about over $100 on average.   If you email me with your location I might be able to give you a better idea on the cost.  Buyer to pay all shipping costs.  No bidders with less than 0 feedback please.  Arrangements of payment must be received within 7 days of the end of the auction.  Check, money order and paypal are all accepted.  International bidders please contact prior to bidding to determine shipping costs.  THANK YOU!!!!
